OK gentleman, the weather is making me wanna get started on planning. I learned a lot from last year, I have new ideas to make it worth coming to, but I want some ideas on what would be the best time to have it? I don't like cold weather, so keep that in mind. I don't wanna step on any toes when it comes to other events, but if they're not gonna affect who is gonna show up for my gathering, it really doesn't matter right? I like to attend the Hoodlums in the holler show that @John B puts on, it's generally the 2nd Saturday in August, and of course I'll be going to The nostalgia nationals on Father's day weekend in June, but other than that I'm open to whatever the majority wants to do. Give me some ideas!

  2. Let’s see apart from the obvious ( food, beverages, music, etc) you’re gonna need to make sure you get the venue you want to host this shindig ( party that is) , also enough facilities in case somebody needs the little boys or girls room. Also you might try to rent a drag strip ( I see nothing wrong with high horsepower shenanigans, hehe) and make sure you have plenty of space for parking.

Anytime works for me. I will try to make it this year.
I went into semi retirement so a little more free time.

  6. Hey Brother, I love warm weather too, the only conflict that might arise would be the Antique Motorcycle Swap Meet the weekend of Labor Day. I, of course will be at Bowling Green with you. If it were warm enough, I’d ride my sidecar down with Little Truckdoctor and Truckdoctor Wife.

I’d suggest 2-3 weeks earlier than last year.
    I’d prefer alittle warmer temps.

When my daughter lived in Kentucky, we went there in August. It was so hot by 11am that you didn't even want to go outside. I voted for 2 weeks earlier.

I flew into Louisville once in the late 80's, I think in August, stepped off the plane and it felt like someone threw a hot wet blanket over me.

    ^This is the truth^.
Lloyd, you should be able to count votes to get a head count estimate.

  13. Going to try hard to make this one, as long as I can keep the coupe in one piece when the time comes.;) I am going to limit the racing this season and enjoy the car more instead of fixing it.:)

Maybe we can do a Pa. caravan this year. I am almost positive I am going even if I have to drive my OT car. Not sure I can get the 56 in long travel condition before. And the Model A is not gonna be near ready.

The 2nd or third week end in Sept would probably work best for me, if I'm able to make it this year.

  24. I think mid to late September is good for better odds for less heat and humidity. Still warm temps.

I would like to make it again, had a great time last year. We are heading out end of this month for a 5-6 month trip in our Motor Home. At some point we will be in Alaska. It all depends on when we get back home as to rather I can make it or not. I won't be making very many Car Shows or Events this year, but if I can make Lloyd fest I'll be happy. Ron

September works for my daughter and myself. Her birthday is the 14th and mine is the 4th. Looking forward to seeing everyone from last year and a whole bunch of new faces as well:).
