I can always appreciate a sedan delivery conversion properly done. The ''61-3 all would look good .Alas GM brass decided it wasn't going to happen. The '62 looks factory.I guess the Chevyvan's coming debut factored into them being dropped as the new decade started. That green '41 Ford coupe turned out excellent. Thanks, guthriesmith.

  4. Yea, pretty much every time my brother tried to introduce me to someone, their response was “This is obviously your brother.” :D Apparently there is some resemblance or something.

Boy! you guys are the best!

Glad I wasn't dreaming. That would be one cool car to own.

Thanx to you and your brother. Wish I could've met you guys in person.

Thanks for taking the time and trouble to post those great pictures. Man , those overhead lights just bedazzle the hell out of those shiny paint jobs.

  13. I did have one other pic of that car that my brother sent me. We were commenting on the stance Saturday not being quite right for a custom and he noticed it sat higher in the front Sunday…

  16. I experienced the same in the middle of the day Saturday when the show was packed. I am guessing that lots of folks have no clue what it even is or why a ratty old car was in the show. Pretty sure we are a strange crowd here overall in the car world and especially the general public. There was hardly anyone looking at either of the old coupe’s that were historical cars as well. When we were looking at the custom Model A and talking to the owner, Cliff Starbird and a guy that was with him were about the only people that spent any time looking at it while we probably stood there for 20-30 minutes.

  17. I wonder if it was a 5W to begin with. Besides the chop, the roof looks smaller, front to back.
