I'm saying if it was my car, I would already have the nose off and sourcing parts. And don't involve the insurance company, lick your wounds and make it great again!

  4. Insurance wouldn’t get it.
    We’d work out a deal.
I’d be looking for some quad headlights
    And chrome steelies
    Maybe some old school hydraulics

Deal yes, but no "Salvaged Title". Makes them hard to sell. I bet half the vettes at BJ have had a nose job over the decades. Two of mine did. I wrecked em, I fixed em.

  6. I love those salvage titles.
As long as it’s not parts only
Put a lot of miles on junk title rides.
But in bama, all I need is a bill of sale
All my beaters are bill of sale rides

This would be perfect , I would leave it as is and fix the body just enough to make it drivable , while repairing all the mechanicals . Maybe a big block and a blower sticking out of the hood or something “ vette purist cringe worthy ) Thumb my nose at the vette purists with my burned out post apocalyptic mad max vette !!

So you are saying it would take $375,000.00 in labor alone to fix that? Typical high end shop rate that I have seen is $125.00 -150.00. Who the world is charging $250.00 an hour? Last I checked a complete pre assembled concours C-1 Corvette nose was about $10,000

    Perfect gasser material.

I don't ever want to see that quad headlight crap again....

  20. I would be far more concerned with the fire extinguisher coming lose bouncing around inside the car or becoming projectiles in the event accident.

When I have done Tech-Inspecting for my vintage stock car club, I have made people remove fire extinguishers, in fact many oval tracks have outlawed fire extinguishers inside cars.
If anyone runs a fire suppression system the bottle must be permanently mounted to the chassis with hard lines.

    Yes .
    Yes .
Maybe not as a restored 100 point car car but a lot of potental still there . A front clip and it would look a whole lot better .

how the fire wall and cowl is would a bigger concern looks like it might have burn through the fire wall . The heater is right there were it burnt as well .

Battery is about were that fire started mounted on the frame so is the starter .

I almost had mine burn down about 35 years ago from a electrical fire I was able to get he battery cable off in time burnt my hand doing it .

I'd love to have whats left of it for parts for mine . Burnt its more original than my POS please excuse the non HAMB wheels I have a set of real magnesium Americans going on i View attachment 5994328 t soon I promise
