  5. Crap. I almost want to build one now
    I’ve got a 57 step van.
If the scrap yard gets any old caddy’s or something with fins I’m in trouble

When I was 18, I worked part time at a custom van shop. Now this is truly a custom van. Would love to see the interior. I can imagine this thing before the clear faded. It may not be everyone's style, but she was a looker. Looks like a mid 70s build though.

  10. I think it works with the canted quads , if the fenders were worked differently between the grill and fenders , opened up and the lights and fenders kinda “ hanging out in space “ it would look better .

betcha she was fancy when the paint was shiny !!

  13. What points are you wanting to convey by posting pictures of hot rods and racecars?

  14. The ~definition you posted doesn't align with the notions of what makes a traditional custom car per the HAMB.

  15. I’m not quoting the HAMB
A restored car is a custom built to OE specs.
It’s not original. Original is extremely rare.
A hot rod is a custom build.
    A custom isn’t necessarily a hot rod :)

    that’s just my worthless take

Yeah, definitely needs the highly desirable canted headlights and faux Ferrari grille treatment...
