  10. I’ve know this guy for a while. Local round track legend. We talk at shows.
Guy lives about 1/4 mile thru the wood from me. Today was my first visit.
    Dang I’m an idiot.
Was there 5 minutes and got a double grove swp pulley set for the 56, swp PS bracket and a gm yoke if I use the Saginaw in my merc.
    Then spotted the shirts.
Guy had stacks of parts, used and NOS.

Here's an interesting short movie about a different sham battery additive, AD-X2, sold in the 40s and 50s

Went junkyarding yesterday. Got a lot of off-topic stuff or some that's just not that interesting, but here's a few fun ones. One old Cadillac hubcap with a nice center section, a pair of rough but cool '41 Buick moldings that were common to put on fender skirts, a pile of old license plates, a Holmes wrecker tag, and a '65 Grand Prix console someone had custom installed in a Galaxie along with some sweet blue fur upholstery.

^^ Are those '57 Chevy dash A/C ducts? They look clean. Those generator covers are so cool in the original box, and all of those shifters too, there's a lot of value there.

  20. Think so.
Neighbor got a new load of parts in today.
Had 2 sets of NOS gm truck fenders, 60-66, a NOS grill and surround.
What looks like 63 impala 2 door qtr side trim.
I might see if these AC doo hickeys fit the wife’s 56.
I’m not a purist. If it fits it fits

guy had boxes full of old 57 parts. I guess the crap that was removed to build race cars.

That's the best stuff, the stuff that was removed 50+ years ago and hasn't been marinating in a Wisconsin field for decades like the shit I usually find. The bits that got pulled and put in a box back then, are usually as nice as they were when removed.

  24. Picked up this store display case. The glass front is missing, calls for some innovative refurbishment. Maybe Ford, maybe supertest, maybe cigars, not sure. BA610C62-BDBA-43C7-BA17-4DDB9A66470F.jpeg

I think you know the answer to that, but yes, I've only ever had one pair, along with a rough but intact dash controller, and I got really good money for them. Mine were strictly cores for replating, pretty rough chrome on them.

Another junkyard trip today. Once again I filtered out the more off-topic stuff but I found some really cool hubcaps, a Clifford 6=8 intake (which was marked as Ford but turns out to be AMC), some bellhousings I haven't ID'd yet and a few other fun bits.

Gotta save this stuff, this load was in danger of getting scrapped.
