You bet Spooky. You going to the show?

I like spreading the hot rod gospel via pictures.

Thank you. Mitch Kim did the striping and he knocked it out of the park. Simple but cool.

You're a smoothy! Definitely a smoothy! (that was in honor of Richard Lewis who I hear passed recently)
Mrs. BB will enjoy your compliment!

Yes, it is a nice truck! Oh, you meant the wife, yes she's OT due to her birth year but she knows her cars and loves talking to people about her truck. It is fun to watch

I'm gonna take Mrs. BB to dinner tomorrow night and then head over to the show. Get some more pics.
Thanks for the compliments on the stripes, that guy is a master. I have a fairly smooth hand and paint and draw a bit, I tried to knock off those tear drops on the rear diff the other day...ended up repainting it. He's talented.

I've seen a lot of Mitch Kim's work over the years and there are very few who are better at the craft.
Dang, that truck looks great, Son in law has to work tomorrow and my wife isn't up to walking around a car show so I'll have to miss this one.

  8. Thanks for the pics, looks like a good show. Hey, great display on your truck, well done!

We jacked a couple of those mobility scooters yesterday. They weren't charged up yet so it pretty easy to catch up with us.

It was just pulling in when we walked up so we heard it running. Crazy sounding. You can see the center carb is active, the outer two are a bit clean, maybe blocked off. Stock head. It has a Slo Pok decal in the windscreen, perhaps one of the club guys on here know more.

There was a thread on the HAMB about a blown banger, I think it was called Hand Grenade. Close to your Time Bomb.

Not sure about that last one, either I took a picture of the floor or someone used way too much clear coat.

One of the pickups in the first hall had a very detailed small block with tri power that took me until the drive home to realize I should have taken a couple pictures of it, too! I know that’s been done to death but this one was very tasteful. Coil bracket neatly mounted under the carbs parallel to the driver side valve cover, finned Vette covers, etc. I wanna say it was one of the 40 Ford pickups near the black A coupe, but in Bandit’s photos both hoods are closed.

Yeah, that one you are describing is Mike's son's truck. The lite green/grey 40 and it sports a SBC like you described. Mike's is the grey 40 alongside and it had the hood up tonight, flathead with Thickstun air cleaner, red lettered Ford script radiator hoses, very tidy flat motor.

Billy, big thanks for the 40 Plymouth. Not many done up. Nice work, but not how I'd go.

It seem like there were a lot more cars back when it was downtown, but the space was smaller. I only had time for two beers before I walked the entire place.
