Man Brooks documented everything in his build thread.I think you could get a really good idea from that.

Tomorrow we are going to remove the frame from the pallet and get the suspension underneath it. I have all the brake lines, steering box, master cylinder and pedal assembly bolted on. I tried to go back and read the thread again for the answer but I can’t seem to find it, what rear axle is that and is that a model T rear spring? Just curious what combo you ended up with as it looks great

It’s an early bronco narrow nine inch. It’s way overkill for a flathead powered car but it’s narrow and was affordable as I bought it from a good friend for next to nothing. The spring is a T spring that I’ve had laying around for years.

    Rusty,

When this thread started I (somehow) got the impression you were throwing together a semi-nice driver quality car.

Ooooops. That frame is a work of art. Kudos to you on your build. Like everyone else on here I'm anxious to see the finished product.

I probably missed it but I've been looking through this thread and so far can't find the answer; did you skim coat the frame to get it that smooth?

Yes it was primed with hi build primer and touched up with some filler. Needed to do something to cover up my shitty welds

Rolled it out in the sun today after work. Sure is bright in the sun and really maroon in the shade. Hope we made the right decision on color. E9D686A8-01F3-43CF-BD79-682DEFA780C6.jpeg EC18BCF3-4F27-4C40-80EE-03418A5C4CDA.jpeg D4B6E800-0AF9-4DB2-A44F-CAF4EBE00D0B.jpeg
