So there were 2 from this title, so I went and looked. Seems to be a small cult around it, Tony Bazil, and Jack Nitzsche.
The pic above is at 1.08;59 in the Mystery Science Theater 3K sendup of it.
The guy takes off and the body flips off the back.

Okay, that's up through page 67. There were a few tubs and a couple pics that have been in here many times (Munsters used car lot, Norm's) that I didn't include. I also included a couple 27 style roadsters that kind of fit.The last pages were just TT models, so no buckets.

Not exactly a T bucket but worth a shot- anyone have any more pics of this one? I found it via google search but didn’t see anything else:

Anybody recognize this car? A friend bought it recently in Northern MI. It’s a really nice build so just trying to identify some history. Awesome thread…thanks!

    also, it’s a 1924 Chevrolet. What’s a Chev T Bucket called?…Bowtie Bucket?

Well, Chevrolet is a French name and French for Bucket is seau.
I doubt he's going to use that though!:D
Lots of very nice details. Those door hinges are a step up from Henry's.
I'd be inclined to paint that engine white to match the upholstery, flame front, pinstriping and whitewalls, oh and a chain steering wheel? Just the tiny things that jump out on a sweet ride.

The Don Kendall "T". Always a favorite of mine. Yeah, I know, no front brakes. Lifes tough, get a helmet.

I did an image search and no luck. A FB post, this thread, and one other t bucket place with no further info.
Black Cali plate (63-70) but that could be movie stuff, although Southern Pacific trains probably locate it. Details on the T lead me to 65-67 era. Medium Wide rears on Cragars, custom exhaust, Tan interior, not fully chromed, early olds engine with 4X2 early carbs.
The driver looks like one of those actors that was always a character in an organized crime movie. If you can ID him, IMDB will help, but I went through all 67 pages of the IMCDB for Ford Model T and didn't spot it.

as someone who has bouts of stick-to-itiveness i respect your tenacity. your observations seem spot on too; the characters in the car certainly look like actors kinda in the 'route 66' style but also place this probably mid to later 60s.

who has robert (unsolved mysteries) stack's number?

The plate SNY893 is later in the range. Quite possibly an earlier build (vertical column, generator) that got the CA plate later (brought into state?). Plates stayed on cars until they stopped being registered. So the pic could easily be later, with the black plate still on an earlier build. Lots of guys didn't adopt the latest styles of the early 70s, and a couple of guys that drove an early style bucket would be more likely to hold to earlier fashion.

Southern Pacific #3001 in the background is here

Pictures dated 1968-1977. Interesting that they are all in the Bay Area. Of course, 3 vintage pics of working equipment is really luck of the draw. Trainspotting, indeed.
Between that site and this one, the engine was in service before 1960 when it got renumbered, then it got renumbered to 3001 in 1965, and renumbered again to 3194 in 1977.

I could not make out the number on the second engine behind 3001. The other cars in the background are just passenger haulers.

So year range is 65-77 and thus very likely out of HAMB coverage.

as are a good number of cars posted in this thread.

personally, i really appreciate your detective work. for sure narrowing things down with this info can only help locate the source of this photo.

maybe not super critical in the grand scheme of things but it sure would be nice to solve the mystery and maybe find out the origin of the car it self.
