A little wax and grease after 400 to check the highlights. Dealing with a total nightmare after getting stuff back from the chrome shop. Seems like there are only a few outfits you can trust these days.
Wow! Sometimes I get lost in the details and forget to step back and see where I started. This puts it all into perspective. Must. Keep. Pushing.
For it being 40 years since my dad last painted a complete and my first time ever doing bodywork I’m very happy with the result.
This car is going to be absolutely beautiful!! I never would’ve picked the color you did but honestly any other color would have not done the car justice. I can not wait to see it on the frame!!!
Appreciate it gentlemen. Got everything from the pans up to the intake dialed and dropped into the chassis. Had to deal with some fit and finish things that I didn’t take in to account with the increased thickness of chrome. No one to blame but myself but good to get the first scratches out of the way.
Desoto looks amazing… Heres a pic of my 51 Chrysler.. chop looks similar.. no cuts in the roof.. was slid forward. Quarter windows shortened..
Final leak test before the body goes back on. Does the water pump pulley look wobbly or is it the reflections in the chrome? IMG_3504 by driprail posted Aug 18, 2024 at 6:08 PM
