Technical Need help on 1950 Olds Slip Yoke

  1. I have a GM cross reference book that I loaded to a thumb drive that may give some insight. Now all I have to do is locate the drive :rolleyes:

    1949 and 1950 is different than 51 52 53

    Thanks to everyone here I was able to get a NOS slip yoke that fits perfectly! Appreciate everyone’s input.

    By any chance does anyone know what u-joint would fit? Also, how far in should I position the yoke before deciding how long the drive shaft should be? Half way, 2/3rds?

    Did you get the part that welds to the driveshaft? Are you using a 1950 driveshaft or something newer? Set yoke 3/4” out.

    Do you mean the yoke for the drive shaft? No, that doesn't come with the slip yoke, but the shop that I use to make my driveshafts can come up with something. This is on an Allard J2 with a Halibrand QC rear (currently being rebuilt). Once I get the diff back and mounted, then I can calculate the drive shaft length I need. I"m sure I can take measurements and try and find the proper u-joint, was just hoping someone knew off the top of their head what it might be!
