This got me digging back about factory produced muscle vehicles that actually were offered up for sale to the public.

As best I can find with only 53 of these trucks produced for sale, not only was this the first factory produced high performance pickup ever for public sale, as this article points out, but it makes it the rarest (total production #’s wise) of any factory produced high performance vehicle car/truck ever from any US manufacture.

    Hello,

In those old days of chasing after our toddler son all over our yard, neighborhood and participating in all of his school events, one can never have enough shoes… We were also in the building stage of skateboards and sidewalk scooters modifying the custom skateboards to accommodate any size customer or rider. Afterall, shoes were the "go" power and definitely, "slow or stopping" power...

    upload_2024-4-6_2-31-31.png
As long as I built them for our son, we also had to have enough for his friends on our weekly park adventures and picnics.

It started with this idea and moved on to higher level of construction for later use.

    This was the start.

Having to move with our son on the sidewalks was an art. So, instead of a low design unit made for his size, I moved to make an adult size scooter and save the old lower back from further aches and pains of leaning over to the shorter handles. Even my wife had her own mid level version of a handle and scooter model for wives and girlfriends… Chrome moly tubing and arc welding a "T" section to a flat plate. Then various custom foam safety cushions and hand grips.
upload_2024-4-6_2-37-52.png My own adult custom version with a longer deck, taller tubing and curb rails+ nose guard protection. Plus, of course, custom flames... My son was the guinea pig in the early models. So, we designed a complete ball bearing wheel to act as a turning device and a skid brake. It worked well and he no longer fell backwards in the early stages.
Note the balanced placement of the lower plate. No more falling forward, either...

But, it was the shoes that needed to be available every time for every sport, including scooting along with our fast moving son and his friends. Even our casual family scooting adventures along the coastal sidewalks of the local harbors and boardwalks of the So Cal beaches… YRMV

One could never have enough shoes for every occasion…ha! YRMV

    Note:
Some early Air Jordans were worn in the rotations, but not during the fast paced scooting adventures at parks and long boardwalks at the parks and shorelines.
