OK dudes This is my ? I've seen #1 zillions of times. #2 I saw once, not 100% focused. Years ago at a party. Remember it vagaly. Only memory is that the first impression where......this is a bad follower. Dont remember much. What I wonder is.....should I see #2 again or should I just let it be??? Paul
The movie was about the end of the summer of 62. Based on my recollection of that era. Even though I didn't get my license untill 63, I'm going to say shrunken head. Shrunken heads hanging from mirrors were pretty popular around then.
.....I'm pretty damn sure it was a skull in the AG 55.....shrunken heads are pretty kick-*** though! -Dean
430+posts??? ****, we all need to get lives! No way I'm gonna be readin' all of 'em, so I hope these Q's aren't there. Here goes: What struggling single mom with two daughters picked up some badly needed bucks by renting Lucas their '57 Chevy for the movie? Mom and girls went on to become famous, two as singers, one as actor. What time is on the clock on the wall of the studio as Curt meets the Wolfman? Bill
Yep. 4:50 am. I think its safe to say that nothing in that flick has escaped the collective 'watchful eye' of the HAMB. Sad that I remember this **** but I can't remember my grandkids' birthdays.
I told a freind about the movie, let him borrow my tape months ago, and havent seen it since! Looks like Im going to upgrade to DVD! Gotta love the life of this thread, too cool!
Hey Monster Buy the DVD I couldnt beleive how much I was missing watching my 4th or 5th vhs tape for about the millionth time!!!! The DVD is much brighter plus its faster to jump to your favorite scenes.
Ok, I figured this would be the best thread to post this info on. Last night I went to the Beaches cruise-in at the local drag strip. Unknown to me, Bo Hopkins was there in the flesh signing autographs and selling prints. For those that dont know, Bo Hopkins played Joe, the leader of the Pharoahs. He even drove away in a replica merc like the one in the movie. Anyways, I bought a print, had him sign that, and I had him sign my arm to! What the hell! Hes a real cool laidback guy. You know its him when he said "Phaaaarows" in his southern style, haha Too cool! .
I’m not usually one to bring threads back from the dead, but I just finished reading all 15 pages of this one. I thought someone else might be interested in it too. Does anybody have any “new” American Graffiti trivia?
George chose the wrong town for the movie. In the 60s, Porterville was THE place to drag main. Folks from Tulare to Bakersfield came to Porterville on Friday nights to make the loop from Coleman's Drive-In to Gang Sue's and back.
I've never seen this mentioned before so I will try for something different. When Carol jumps out of the girls' Studebaker and into Milner's coupe, what is unusual about the way she enters it? And on the bloopers trail, when the 55 rolls over, it buries the right hand headlight into the dirt and pirouettes almost vertically before coming to rest on its roof. Yet when the camera goes around the front of the car, the right hand fender is undamaged and the headlight is still burning brightly!
She unlocks the car from the inside door handle. Anyone notice the wiper on milners car disappears and reappears?
Correct there Dooley. I mean, how would some random chick know that the door handle didn't work and had to be opened from the inside when it is the first time she has been in the car? Not hating, like so many people on here it is my all time favourite movie, but like all movies it has its quirks and I love ém all!
