Beside the fact that they're not helping her they could've at least stood on the other side of her car. You know, for better viewing purposes.
Ok, Mickey, who took the bleachers last night? Call the cops…yikes! @65pacecar Hello For the majority of folks attending Lion’s Dragstrip during the year, by the year’s end, the important races packed the bleachers on both sides of the starting line and staging area. But, if one kept coming back to Lion’s Dragstrip all year, one noticed something different. In late December and early January of most years we were there, the bleachers were mysteriously missing. What? Lion's Dragstrip no bleachers We assumed something happened and they were getting fixed for safety reasons. When they were packed, and everyone stood up, the whole structure moved. Whoa…!! But, they never collapsed. So, we assumed they were getting a repair job of some kind. Come to find out from our Lion’s Dragstrip management friends, they were missing due to a money making situation from the whole So Cal area… even for the good of national TV exposure. It was never told out loud on TV, but the famous Pasadena Rose Parade on New Year’s Day needed more bleachers to fill the need for the cold morning and afternoon parade. So, they rented the small, then larger units until sometime after the holidays were over. 1959 mini bleachers Lion’s Dragstrip 1959 version of tower side bleachers Lion’s Dragstrip. Jnaki The different versions of the films I took over those competitive years shows no bleachers, little bleachers and full tall bleachers as the event and years rolled in place. If the event was a huge attraction, the large bleachers were packed. Check out the big event in 1964 on YouTube J NAKI CHANNEL. 1958-60 bleachers/no bleachers Lion’s Dragstrip
