This weekend was one for the books with Joey 17 hours there and 17 back, (currently driving ) got down to Dons to pick up some parts and met up with Delton from the Ironlords C.C him and his wife had the best hospitality I’ve ever had, from dinner to letting us crash at there place. And best of all showing me around in his 32 Ford coupe. Joey and him set up a whole weekend of visiting different guys shop including Ben hagg loved seeing the bones cars in person. Gonna write up a little more with the new parts once I get unpacked and settled back in home.

IMG_2959.jpeg I can’t imagine what that felt like knowing you’ve got a similar chop going on at home. Probably exhausted but what fantastic mental fuel for the summer.

Welp got the 34s ass all together needs a bit of tweaking but it’s solid now! And got my new to me 34 door chopped down to fit the car. Glad to have got one with an inner structure. I know I’ve made plans in the past….. aslife gets in the way from time to time, but I’m really shooting for the pre war pile up in June. Got pretty much the whole car figured out jus gotta keep my ass in gear!

Really inspiring work Austin - you kept your head in your build with a minor setback, moving forward to your next goal to roll in the pre-war pileup! The grin on your face WILL not stop brother - Subscribed!!

Started this weekend with high hopes that the flywheel was the isssue and it would be resolved after pulling the engine and tranny and installing my new one ….. turns out it’s got the correct flywheel all along….the motor was like I had to feared to begin with…. stuck. So I set about with a mix of various slipping liquids and oils and got it freed up with an hour of so of rocking it and a night or so of soaking. Then I set about patching up my firewall with some stuff I had to house and got big time distracted on a little T and A project a buddy of mine and I have been working on when he visits. :) gonna keep on keepin on

Looks good! Did you end up with an extra right hand quarter panel corner piece? Looks like you had something on there that got removed when you got your new panel. If so, and if it's something you're interested in selling, let me know. I'm piecing one of these together for myself and that is a bit I could really use, even if it's totally fucked and just for a pattern.

My hat is off to you Austin!! A great car build out of a garage with character. Dirt floors , limited lighting can be a challenge. Drafty walls to keep the fumes down. Automotive treasures stashed all around make for a inviting space to be in and get some work done. The well organized tool storage means you care about them and can find them when you need to. Car builds have a duration, but your shop displays commitment. Congrats!!
