Thanks
Hi, I do not know why but I am having a hard time sourcing the parts for the front and middle cable, and the****embly I already have the rear cables, can someone know and share the links please.

CASCO- the TBird parts suppliers lists the following items" 2A602, 2628, 2A605, 2091, Tee Bird Products in PA also list these parts as the same for Birds and sedans. These are for Tbirds (55-57) and should be the same for sedans., but I am not positive on this. You might find a replacement for the 73931 at an hardware store - it's just a pin
Thank you I am wondering if I could use another cars parts or a new made part I do not know if it fits such as 1968 Mustang for example.
Do you think I could use another cars emergency brake setup like 1968 mustang for example or another car ?
I have found this, and it says it fits but I do not know if this is the front and middle part. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3259076373...9+COycIwqBv1P278btXmyHcESL|tkp:Bk9SR-izk_7VYw
I doubt it, but I don't know for sure.. The stock 56 front cable is available, not too expensive and the hardware isn't too bad either. In the long run, I think you would be better off using the 56 parts. As was mentioned, there is no middle cable.
This changes the whole dynamic's - Do you know what the rear end is out of and does it have factory discs or is a a disc conversion ?
Hi, Actually almost 10 years ago I purchased the rear end disc kit it for my 1968 Mustang, I bought it from Rod&Customs, Part Number: RC 131. https://rcmotorsportsinc.com/product/rc-131-bolt-on-rear-disc-conversion-kit/ I purchased the rear end as a second hand. It did not have original discs.
Here are some diagrams from a 1955 Ford Shop Manual - the 56 will be the same. I do not know what all you have but it sounds like you are just now purchasing the pull cable, equalizer cable, etc. Do you have the lever in the diagram that attaches to the frame mount in your photo? If this place where you originally got the conversion kit is still in business, you might want to ask them for parts. Looking at the ends of the rear cables they look a lot like what a stock 56 looks like. I wonder if the stock 56 cable will work? What is the problem - old cables trash or didn't you ever connect the parking brake ?
No there was not any cable to start off, I purchased the front and already have the rear now I need the middle section I think it is called the lever I guess.
Hi, I purchased the front cable as well, I already had the rear ones, but the problem is I cannot find the bracket, equalizer rod, equalizer lever and etc These parts, has any of you know where can I find them, this is the last part that I need to finish my car.
Concours has the equalizer rod, probably other parts too. I didn't look them all up. CONCOURS PARTS & ACCESSORIES (parts123.com)
or try Control Cables. They custom made mine to order.stainless. Fortunately, I had a '57 forum member who had already done the identical rear disc swap and had Control Cables make what he needed. That made it easy for me, just gave them my friend's invoice number. That was all he needed to duplicate the cables. I had them in Texas in just 3 or 4 ays. www.controlcables.com
Sorry, I went back and reread your posts, and just realized the cables are not what you're looking for.
Here is a diagram of the 65- 73 parking break. The middle cable you probably need is the 2A635 cable. More likely a Mustang pats store will have it. You will need the connectors shown at the junction of the back and middle cable.
Well I found one for mustang but I do not know if I could make it work maybe with some adjustments, what do you say. https://buyacp.com/parts/parking-brake-equalizer-kit-fm-eb005k/
Hi, Everyone, it is clear that the following parts are not available, searched almost everywhere but without luck 1) Equalizer Lever. 2) Equalizer Lever Nut 3) Equalizer Rod 4) And the half moon shaped part that goes in the equalizer rod. Therefore I could use another cars****embly parts, can this be another car like chevy same years do you think this could work ?
The Thunderbird parts would seem to be the closest to a sedan and CASCO shows all the parts No idea if they are in stock. 54-56 Fords parts should all be the same.
check with Bob Owens @ Owens Salvage in Wellington, Texas. Bob is a top provider on the Hamb. Big yard, only '72 (?) and older
www.owenssalvage.com I should have posted that .com yesterday. Bob is a friend of Jeff Norwell, and they were both friends of Larry Grillett of Childress. Larry was a big-time collector of '56 Fords, and I know Bob got alot of '56 stuff at auction after Larry passed away.
Thank you very much indeed, yesterday I contacted them and today they returned to tell me that they have the part, so the last missing part of the puzzle has been found, thanks a lot.
