Customs First Kustom for a Teen?

I am reluctant to post this, because I am NOT trying to sell this…

Bought a 1954 Ford “Parts Car” for some stuff I needed for my ‘52 coupe.

ANYONE in the greater Seattle area is WELCOME to this 1954 Ford 4 door. I would really like it to go to a teenager, a girl, or someone who might spark an interest in old cars.
The engine is there, and might run?

Someone started customizing, door handles are shaved, headlights frenched (badly) and taillights molded in. No seats, no hood, what you see is what you get.

Also, it’s really not that rusty. Hole in the floor, and lower 1/4 panel.

CLEAR WASHINGTON TITLE.

I will have this hauled off by the junk man (for $$ in my pocket)… if it’s still in my driveway next week.

Just trying to do something nice by offering this car up…

 

Maybe you could get Gene Winfield to use it in one of his Chop classes, bet he's never done a mordoor! Hope you find a taker.

But good for you to offer it up.

 

Generous offer, stop by the highschool auto class if you have one. They will be letting out for summer soon, or maybe the shop teacher will take it on.

I really do hope you find a taker for it.

If you don't, I hope you'll at least pull the dash, steering wheel, valve covers, and that 3 bolt carb. Good, unbroken hood hinges from these cars also sell for really good money, as do steering boxes that aren't totally sloppy/worn out. Automatic column setup is also a hard to find piece that'd be worth saving.

I pulled some stuff. Mine is a '52 coupe, so lots of stuff fits... just not dash or suspension.

If it goes to the boneyard, I will definitely yank a bunch more stuff before she goes.

kind of a shame.. more-door yes. But, could be a cool car I guess.

 

I wish you luck, but a week is a pretty short window, even if someone local to the car wanted it.

 

My neighbors have no say in the matter... but I try to keep the "JUNK" to a minimum.

A word of caution when donating to a school. They can give you a tax deduction form for an agreed value. The iffy part is that tools, equipment, cars……generally have to auctioned when sold. The only other option is generally scrap.
Now an instructor could pick out a student they feel is up to the task and you could work out a deal with that student.
That’s an ambitious task for a young person. Not impossible for a motivated, creative one
