I hope you have better luck getting it painted. Seems like I always have one in paint job jail.

I went to the painter today to check on the coupe. I wouldn't say it's in paint jail, more like on paint probation. It's a two man shop and there are customer cars there that were being worked on before my car got in, so I have to be patient.
They did go over the body and fine tuned the door and trunk gaps. They also did some minor work on a lower corner of the windshield opening so that the frame would fit better.
The body got a first coat of high build primer and guide coat on it and this will be sanded soon to find out if there are any high or low spots to address.
He did manage to paint some of the smaller parts and gave them to me to take home so that they don't take up room in the shop.
Here are some photos of the coupe as it is now. Gonna take a while, but it is in good hands.

There are numerous opinions on chopping a '32 3W. My personal choice is how you have done the chop, straight down with a roof spacer. That's how we did mine. I think that the laid back windshield distracts from the design of the body, but that's just me. Your 3W will be beautiful when finished.

Thanks Fogger. I chose a straight chop because I like that look too, and also being that this was my first attempt at a top chop it was easier than a laid back chop.
I think a straight chop looks best with a moderate chop like the 2 1/2" drop on my coupe. A heavy chop or a wedge chop look good with a laid back windshield.
I will admit that doing a laid back chop is very intimidating and complicated. I don't fully understand how you would go about planning where the cuts need to be to make the finished job look right.

The black 3 window in my avatar is a 2.5 inch chop with stretched roof. It's been that way since I bought the body in 1980 in Iowa City with the chop just tacked together. Chop was started by Paul Beck, he lives in Michigan.
