Not going to use a front bumper? 40-50 lbs. off the front anyways.

Is that the stock sway bar on the front?

Is it an Addco one? I’ve got some of theirs on the Vette but I think I heard they’d gone out of business.

No Tim.I got it from SW T-Birds,Its the biggest offered.1-1/8.
the factory sway bar (IMHO) is pretty much useless.
I have them on both cars and there is a massive difference in handling and deep cornering.

Over-traveling the clutch pedal in a hydraulic throwout bearing setup can over-travel your throwout bearing so it comes apart and hangs against the clutch fingers. The clutch pedal stop makes it so that can't happen.

  7. I have their bar on my car, handles like a Lotus....

What's the actual name of the company? I've Googled "SW T-Birds" and many variations thereof and nothing shows up that sounds like what you're referring to. Maybe I'm just not smart enough to find what you're talking about. Many times my searches don't turn up what I'm hoping for.

So.got a few DM's about the sway Bar......
Not sure if SW T-Birds carry them any more..... best to call.
I did find Larry's T-Bird does have them... but the price has nearly doubled....
Anyhow..... seems they are getting harder to find.

  14. Jeff, I just went to this web site and the listing is as you posted and does not have 57 - 58 in the covered year vehicles. Is that number A5482E the exact one you installed?

Yes. that's the unit.. its as simple bolt in.... less than an hour for the installation.
I would place a phone call.
Reading a bit more into it... they say they are designed for 54-59 Ford Passenger cars.

  17. I had to call them up and ask about it. The bar is not on their web site. I forget how much it was, it was reasonable.

  18. This is what I did. The install was real easy. I was working alone and removed the old bar with a cutoff disc.

I was using a Brad Penn green 10w-30 Tim...... but it is hard to find around here.. so I am now using the Lucas Hot Rod oil.... a 10w30 or 40.....
It's a non detergent that is somewhat affordable.(if you can even say that today)

Thanks Jeff. That’s what I was thinking of using too as it seems readily available here as well.

Really like the look of your two ‘57s, never paid them much attention before your threads.

1.jpg 1a.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg Well...... Progress continues in the Neater Beater....
Junk yard rear seats in and cleaned...(more to clean later).. Q-panels in test fit the free carpet.... final install and smooth out any bad wrinkles, Unfortunately there is a small tear in the base rear seat but ehh... I don't care... One day. there will be a new fresh interior... but not this year..... installed the Sills and used some old free expired Race belts... I think they suits the car.
Threw the bench in..... if I can't find any door cards to match.I will make my own in Black....
Headliner to be installed this weekend ,then the front Windshield and rear glass..
This is drawing close to getting finalized.
Oh yea. Safety third..Threw in a Fire extinguisher..... Seen too many cars burn to the ground.
