A late 30s Pontiac coupe would be awesome. If the nice lady is in her 80s, that's about when she was born. But she said it's likely older than her? This will be interesting.

  3. Two great survivor trucks! Both of those will clean up and make nice hot rod trucks. Also looking forward to seeing the Pontiac pics.

Went back out to farm this morning and took a couple more pictures. The Pontiac turned out to be a Plymouth Savoy 4-dr. Its captive by some trees but has a great body! Iam not into Plymouths of that year and not 4-drs. The 1967 Chevy grain truck is very nice with 36,000 miles. Had some mice in it so doesn't smell good but sure that could be taken care of. Its For Sale! Plymouth also For Sale Cheap! GREAT BODY! Let me know If Your interested.

The Plymouth still has 1966 Montana Plates on it.

I don't think I ever saw a 60-66 Chevy truck with original paint that didn't have a hole in the front fender doglegs.

Well on the dog legs, It helps that these two trucks have spent their whole life here in Montana where its a VERY DRY Climate with the annual rainfall is about 12ins and most of that comes in snow. And we didn't use salt on the roads. Thank Goodness For Montana!

In the northeast, the fender bottoms often flap loose!

Man I'd love that green one.
I wouldn't say no to the red one either.

It's uncanny how the trucks aren't surrounded by, and buried under, junk.

Probably both built in Janesville, WI and betcha the VIN's are only a few apart. Post some more photos when you get em cleaned up. Like Chevy57Dude said, never seen dealer emblems on the hood before pretty cool post pics of those too.

Yea, Thats the weirdest place I have ever seen a dealer emblem installed. wish it was on the tailgate. Also wish they had the factory mirrors instead of the west coast ones. Haven't brought them home yet as have to wait for the farmers to get done seeding before getting help to move the 2 ton thats in the way of getting them out of the shed. Can't wait! Will post more pictures after I get the home.

My buddy's dad had a '65 3/4 ton long bed we used to bomb around in during high school years. 6 cylinder w/3 on the tree. Being in the midwest it had rot in the floor amongst other places. We'd be out driving at night, my buddy would turn it off going down the road, then turn it back on and then "BANG"! Backfire and a flash we could see through the floor. Ahh good times :). Doesn't sound like you will be able to do that. Good finds for you!!

This is what New York salt does...and this truck was only 22 years old when I got it (1985). I probably wouldn't have bothered with it...but it was really low milage, had a nice running 283/PG and was only $125.

  22. Some of the best trucks GM built. Front ends last for years if greased once in a while.

I bet that 2 ton only used for month or so at harvest time. I would love to see how close the vin numbers are to each other on the half tons.
