I just got my own personal copy of TRJ #86 in the mail as well. It came wrapped in plastic, then packed in bubble wrap and shipped in a sturdy cardboard box - from these guys: Home - Autobooks-Aerobooks Just as it should be, the Pat Ganahl story is the very first article in this issue. The bulk of it contains the texts of what son Bill and his mom Anna shared at Pat's celebration of life. But I think that's the right way, perhaps the only way, to tell his story in limited page space. Very insightful and well-written. And yes, there are lots of photos, most of them from the Ganahl family collection. No surprise, it's an extremely well done tribute. I really think an entire issue could have been devoted to the subject of Pat Ganahl. But then I turned to the rest of the book, and read the artist profile on the late Roy Jones. I have one of his framed, signed lithographs hanging on my wall! And then there are the car features. This one is a keeper, folks - well worth waiting for. Get it. Oh, by the way - just in case you might be interested there's a page inserted toward the back of the magazine that has info on ordering a subscription.

I received Issue #86 on Monday, June 10th … as did dozens of my rodder friends all across the state of California. NOTE: I am NOT a “Lifetime Subscriber”. . . I actually purchased the “Supercharged Sub Deal” (8 issues for $79.95) back in February of 2020.
I believe your local post office, or at least maybe your delivery person is not aware of USPS Bulk Mail. Items are pre-bundled to simplify their flow through the system and the postage is prepaid by the sender. Here is what appears on the envelope from TRJ- that three digit number identifies the package as going to a region, or large city and I expect that is useful for the outgoing bundles to be processed as bulk mail. Hopefully it will not be too much of an inconvenience but I think if you go the your post office they will give you your mail without charge.
Yikes. USPS at your service. We have a local vendor who drives to our office to pick up his check every month because USPS misplaced several of the checks we mailed to him. And that was when we had a great mailman. More recently our mailperson was clearly struggling. We called the USPS and got two calls back from supervisors. Two. Both said the person is being coached. One admitted she's had recurring problems in her 2 years with the USPS and there's little that can be done since she is protected by the carriers' union. His words, not mine.
I haven't gone to the Post Office to inquire yet. We went from what I assume was a sub contractor in an old Jeep Cherokee. To a new carrier in a modern US Postal owned and labeled mini van sort of thing. We've had a few issues since.
