I thought I´d share a couple photos too... just for me to remember this weekend really happenend.

 

Looks like a good old USA party where the parts and pieces are everywhere. Doing it in Germany is almost unbelievable. Thanks for sharing the party .

@hrm2k , thanks for the kind words! All of these folks are friends of ours and people we love to have around. No one was invited, we just chose a weekend for our bbq and who showed up showed up. My friend Fred drove his 40 Plymouth down from Berlin, unfortunately his OD broke on his way back home, but that just ads to the story... his hot Chrysler Flat 6 just was too much for this old BW R10 OD, hahaha

 

Wow, what a great assortment of really nice cars. I particularly like the Chevys that were sprinkled around the rest of the flavors. That looks like a serious amount of fun was had by all.

 

I dunno if they´re cool, but they are sure crazy enough to make fun of themselves, hahahah

are German people as nutty about VW's as the people here in the US?

 

we all are lucky our girls bear with us hoodlums and get us back on track when it´s time. Shorty´s wife, Sabrina, almost kicked his ass when he thought about selling his 54 Chevy BelAir.... My wife Dani and the other girls helped big time, it was kind of a vacation in our own back yard. A ton of work but still very relaxing.

 

Yes, but only the VW people, but we make fun of them. @djfordmanjack on here is one of them VW and Porsche nuts. He´s the guy in the Dips overalls. He loves flatheads too. That´s how nutty he is, hahahaha
I always make fun of him saying he knows every VW assymbly line worker´s sisters birthday, middle name and haircolor, day AND night shift, hahahah

 

I just found out that @höllenteufel is on here aswell. He came over with his 29 Ford Banger Coupe...

 

Jeff, Günter and I were dicussing this and how great it would have been to have you and Jay here... we are grown men but we alwys get a little emotional when it´s time to split after such a great time....

That‘s my 2 year old son Xaver on his great grandpa‘s 11 hp Eicher Diesel tractor that he bought new in 1954. We usually have to pry him off of it

btw if anyone has input on a more stout transmission solution it'd be much appreciated.
