Russ built his Bonneville car inside a bedroom of their home when Cedric was young. They finished it, and then cut the exterior wall out, and built ramps to get the finished car out! I always chuckle whenever I hear that story again.

I (thought) I had been told Larry lived out here by me on the West side, that was over 25 or 30 years back, sure wish I could have witnessed that car being built.
I saw a photo showing a gray 50(ish) Chevy coupe there, had whitewalls, looks a lot like one owned by an acquaintance from back when I was active in the local car scene.

Not to hijack this thread but there’s another Larry Ander”son” that had a ‘32 done by Steve’s Auto Restorations as well as a ‘55. Both are OT for this site but I was getting calls on the ‘32 asking if I still had it and which shows I was taking it to. I think it was called “whiplash” or something. Which Larry was involved with the MHRC. That led to some confusion when he was being paged over the PA system at The Roadster Shows and I was walking around.

He lives about a mile from me, has a handful of cool cars, some built by a friend of mine.
Whiplash would be welcome on the new HAMB forum OT Hot Rods and Customs.

Who is the interesting gentleman with the boat? We chatted for a while about not wearing loose-fitting clothes or a tie while driving it until he had the driveshaft cover built.

That is Marlo Treit, long time innovator, Drag and Land Speed Racer. He is still having fun at 86 years old. He texted me at 11 Thursday night, and I was still working as well. So, I messaged him back "Are We just Crazy old Men ?"
Here is another of his cars.
