I use RAL colours of possible for non metalics. Easy and cheap to get different paint types off the shelf.

  4. I have always thought that this was called Hunter Green but it looks like they are calling it pine tree green. I had a 55 wagon for a while that was this color. You could get it and mix a little gold metallic in it and it would be a really sharp dark green.

There's also BMW Oxford Green, and Saab Scarabe Green, which are similar modern dark green metallic's and worth a look. The BMW Oxford Green is very nice.

If nothing else, this post shows that prep is just as important on dark colors as Black!
    Lots of really nice rides.

    Hello,

Green is a strange color on any car, let alone a hot rod or custom. We have seen our fill of green hot rods over the time we have been involved. One day in 2019, I was at the Lion’s Dragstrip Museum and saw what I thought was the most interesting custom car, ever. Totally changed and definitely a full custom…but, it was painted a candy green color that stood out from down the long hallway in the display room.
upload_2024-5-16_2-27-18.png It is a full custom redesign that looks like it rolled off of the custom car garage assembly lines from those small shops that were everywhere back in the early days.

A green 46 Ford custom convertible is definitely a nice color and custom car.

“The car received 14 coats of Kandy Emerald Green by House of Kolor atop a silver base coat to achieve the seductive finish that gives the car its name: Green Envy. The body looks straight and shows well with its set of custom hubcaps and wide whitewall tires. This custom creation incorporates many elements from other cars produced around the same era."

"The platform started out as a 1946 Ford convertible and was adorned with Ford elements from various years, such as headlights from a 1939 model, while the windshield was raised two inches to make room for a Lincoln cowl hood. The front end is immediately recognizable as it utilizes many design components from the 1938-39 Lincoln Zephyr.”

    Note:

So, in thinking of a 1956 Ford, I had started a drag racing 56 Ford sedan and with a new direction, made a different look for a Ford sedan. We almost bought a Flathead powered 56 Ford race car in our aftermath of our drag racing recovery time. This one is definitely changed from that race car looking black Ford sedan.

For those that like a lighter color range, here is a different color in the green family.

Just googled some green colours, and Ford’s 2022 Bronco with Mallard Green is really nice (at least I think so). Lol!

Maybe so, but I will NEVER own a green Harley or even one that has been green in a past life.

I agree with the Ford Highland Green.
