It's a tribute to my Hispanic brothers man! @scotty t told me my steering wheel is a Mexican steering wheel, the small diameter makes it easier to drive with handcuffs on! :D

C’mon, being an El Lay resident I know what a handcuff wheel really look’s like. IMG_2708.jpeg

All is good, been chasing a rubbing noise, thought it was a tire, so I've burnt up a couple of cutoff wheels making clearance. Yesterday I drove the truck to lunch, and figured out that the driveshaft is hitting the back of the cab lol. I ordered air shocks, I wanted to give it a little rake anyway. So I've gotta clearance that and install the shocks. Ordered a Chinese flavored lokar shifter from Amazon. That's supposed to be here today. I think I'm pretty much good to go. Looking forward to a few days of nostalgia drag racing, that's for sure!!

Hey is everybody busy today?? If anybody has a minute, I need somebody to make fun of my Amazon shifter. $118. Works awesome. Had shit reviews, but I'm sure it was because it doesn't come with instructions, everybody said it wouldn't fit. I'm fucking satisfied as hell :D:cool:

This one has reverse lockout, gate for neutral and drive, and obviously a park lock. Not like those universal B&M units. No it's not a performance shifter, but it's not a race truck, so it's perfect. $118? Seriously? Plus I had a $5 coupon! You cats are really gonna be pissed off about my distributor! $59 with a 5 year warranty. Cheaper than buying a cap, rotor, coil, and ballast resistor for my points distributor :D 20240518_092658.jpg 20240518_092653.jpg

Well it runs much better. It's at 14 initial and 36 total at 2800. I put the air shocks on it, took the gas tank straps off and put rubber insulator between the straps and tank, clearanced the cab for the driveshaft, made a trans tunnel, put the distributor in it, and jazzed it up a little. Love it. See you guys in Bowling Green in a little less than a month, get that fucking car out and drive it somewhere! 20240518_144053.jpg 20240518_150056.jpg 20240518_155337.jpg 20240518_172337.jpg 20240518_144053.jpg 20240518_150056.jpg 20240518_155337.jpg 20240518_172337.jpg

Cut out a nifty panel to cover all of those holes on the passenger side of the firewall. And put a sticker on it from my buddy @scotty t 20240518_180036.jpg

You're brave-x for buying that distributor! Lol, glad you got it running better. The new one I put in the 55 was complete with points, cap and rotor and cost $120.
