I also like track nose pickup. Thick black windshield surround gives it bit of standout google eye look stands out from metal finish but not sure how could be hidden or made to disappear. I guess black paint job would hide but like metal finish. Modern cars use chrome/stainless trim around windshield but over the top for rod. I guess just feel needs something

Nice T but is that a Norton Manx in the background? I'll take that!

Deal! 1000 yards with 22 handguns. You're never too old to fight but the outcome gets becomes less certain. I'm probably too old to ride that Norton.

Not a Manx but just an ordinary pushrod ES2.

...I wonder if the Hamber has clocked some miles and made any more changes on this wild thing...I know he went with newer style shoes...but I thought these were pretty fitting...I know he liked road racing...

Yeah they did that here and there back in the day...and that was a feature
on a number of road racers...and at the drags...

^^ I like it even the dual tires. Old hill climb trick for sports cars. That nose, hood openings, double windscreens. Sharp looking

Some of the first dragsters I saw in Amarillo in the '50s ran dual truck tires. That was before slicks and special compounds.

that car has been at the Pleasanton Goodguys show every year for I don't know how long. 25 years maybe?? note the parallel leaf front end and it does have the Columbia 2 speed rear, not just a sticker. I believe it has a banger in it of some sort. it has been a long time since I saw it without a hood.

It's pretty damn cool...I did note that, probably a chassis swap...please do share any pics you can find of it here...it really fits the theme of the Thread to a 'T'. Maybe its a Chevy 4.

Very interesting! It has to have a history and a thread somewhere. I'd like to know more about it. Engine and more shots of the front suspension. Don't remember seeing it when we used to frequent Kingdon in the early '60s.
