I just hate FB. I don't like the fact that they require you to join to search Marketplace. I don't like the fact that they sell your info. I do like the fact that you can create a group and find like minded folks.

Most forums do the same thing, lol. My dad browses FB Marketplace, but without an account he cant message the people, so he'll screenshot the listing and send to me or my brothers so we can communicate for him. We all have the disease.

I saw this truck years ago at the Wooden Chicken cruise in Portland. Even then, it was a decades old build that had been stashed in a garage. All 4 fenders, tailgate and the running boards were chrome plated, the top has a plexi insert, the paint and flame job was by The Beard, a local legend from the 70's. Wild. This is the only crappy picture I have found of it to back up my memory.

I can’t imagine having sheet metal nice enough to chrome! :p

I’ve seen chrome running boards but never chrome fenders.

As old as this build was those may have been NOS. I thought the same. Mine were nearly not nice enough to paint!
I love chrome, but even this is a bit much for me. But don't get me wrong, I'd own it. Can you imagine a fender bender in that thing. It would total the truck.

But at that car show...it was a sight to behold. I'd love to see it again and get some good pictures. I am pretty sure that show was pre-iphone.

  17. That was on Craigslist for awhile… it had a boat tack out the top of the dash…Less is more people….

Bobbo Dunn had a 56 f100, he did a 1st. Gen Camaro grill and lights. Looked real clean. I have a pick I can post later. Mild custom for me would be slight lowering, even hight, shaved and modify the tailgate so no chains and a roll pan. Push in the front bumper. Most importantly a tuck and roll, 2 tone bed cover in metal flake marine grade vinyl upholstery kustom kemp style.
