Couple more pieces to the puzzle. Tomorrow Wilson Welding front hubs.

 

My bud @ BASS KUSTOM sent me these.

 

Time to freshen up these ram horns for the Lone Star Round Up.

 

I snuck them into work this morning and blasted them , then sprayed with VHT.

 

And back on.

 

A friend of mine made these decals for me.

 

All nice and spiffy again.

 

Looks good. Is that the VHT Silver? I usually go with their cast iron colour for manifolds, the colour you used looks good too.

 

Yes, it's silver, they didn't have the cast iron color in stock.

 

I had to go to two different stores to get two cans the last time I bought some.

I scored these stainless speedway roadster top irons at the Lone Star Roundup in Austin back in April. Finally got around to messing with it.

 

Due to chopped and leaned back windshield stanchions , I had to alter the front brackets.

 

Parts fit ok , so will get finish welded tomorrow at work.

 

Top has a nice profile.

 

The part I’m pointing at is supposed to be down there, but it doesn’t look right to me so I moved it up higher. Do you think that will cause problems? I been looking at Roadster Top Threads for a month, they’re all down like that. With it down it’s hard to get in and out.

I agree it looks better like that - does the top still fold with the linkage in that location?

 

Probably not, its either gonna be up are off, I dont like the look of roadster tops down.

 

I finally got the correct header on it.

 

Today I scored Lebarron Bonne Roadster Top Kit, packaged in 2/28/96 NOS . I’m pretty sure it will look like top pic.

 

Gonna be a lot of work but I think I can pull it off.

 

It’s starting to get small in here.
