You might park by another '34 Ford at the local hot rod show, but it ain't gonna look anything like that. Fantastic work on the little car. Please paint it shiny black if you don't mind.

  8. A little more progress on the coupe. Got the louver press out this last week and punched the hood and deck lid. Been working on the sheet metal and a few more custom touches.

  10. Collected a few more parts for the coupe project, door hinges, window regulators, shocks etc. I had to customize the rear crossmember to drop the rearend some to set final ride height, and then reposition the rearend . Working on shock mount brackets and their location now, and putting together the motor/trans combo. Here are a couple profile pics of final ride height

  13. Still plug’n away on the coupe. Making great progress, even though it’s a little slow. Exhaust is done, tucked up tight to the bottom, and a little flare out the back. Also finished the dash with a little something special for the gauge cluster. I’ve always dreamed of having Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top autograph one of my hotrods, and luck would have it, I was able to finally make it happen. The coupe will carry his autograph on the glove box!

  14. I am on the wrong side of the headlight debate, but I guess I am more of an ass man anyway. Nice work, I really like the stance and how the wheels came out. The spreader bar and horns look a little heavy to me, but I will wait till things get a little further down the line. Nice execution of your skills and tribute to your friend. Billy needs this in a new video.

    Mean looking coupe!

  19. As many of you know building a car from scratch takes a long time, but The Withers coupe is still coming along. Motor, trans, rearend, and frontend are all done! The Enderle mechanical injection was turned electronic and I may have gone a little overboard on the motor, but who doesn’t like a stroked crazy big horsepower motor in a mean looking little car. I got the opportunity to take a couple pictures of the coupe in progress next to Dale’s personal bare metal 32 5 window also.

  21. He passed in his sleep peacefully of cardiac arrest. He was a very very close friend for over 25 years, and the three window was a dream he had started a couple years ago and we had discussed his vision for it quite a bit, so I decided to buy it and see it to completion with a little bit of my race flavor. The world lost one of the most talented guys I’ve ever met that night.

  26. The Wither’s Coupe is still making progress, a few more shiny things added, drilled the front bones, steering arm, and lots of chrome. Floors and interior structure is going in now.
