Yes, commissioned by Canadian snowmobile manufacturer Alouette. This was a one-off sled built for show and exhibition. The snowmobile industry was like the wild west in the late 60's with over 100 manufacturers all vying for market share. The gas crisis all but killed the industry, with only five builders left by the 80's. I recall this thing because I had a '68 Alouette GT with a 297cc Sachs that was the fastest thing on the lake when we bought it new. The next year the average sleds sold were 400-500cc and I was eating snow dust. Tons of fun but I gave it up a few years back due to some not so gentle advice from my doc. Still miss it. Last sled I had was faster in the quarter than some "quick" cars.

  7. ^^This one doesn’t seem like it actually drives. The toilet seat lid is laying on the blower drive belt.

Plus, there is no toilet paper holder

Not to be confused with the Monogram/Revell kit which is of the Barris "Bathtub Buggy", altogether different....

  14. @Deuces - if those were actual GM built airport limos, the front ends would contain the ultra rare heavy duty suspension parts. Including the coveted 6 lug hubs.

Guys got a 2nd gen ram for sale listed with no price and also "low ball offers will be ignored" so I did a little snooping on the guys marketplace profile.

I'll let you all make your decisions.

Reminds me of an old saying, "Millions of comedians are out of work and here you are trying to be funny".
