A customer wants me to extend the nose of a 1949 Plymouth business coupe. With too much to do on the car I have said no time. My question is, is there any other model Plymouth or Dodge from that year that may have a longer nose that I may just adapt? 4 Door etc?

Pretty hard to say, without knowing what he has in mind..."extend the nose" could mean several different things.

Is he talking about increasing the wheelbase? or what?

The Dodge 3 window coupe has a 4 inch longer wheelbase than the Plymouth does. It would be a tremendous amount of work to make it longer depending on what he is really talking about. Maybe sell this one and buy a similar Dodge?

He wants the busness coupe to have a long nose. I.E streach it 3-4 inches from the door forward. I am already sectioning the car, building the floor and purhaps dropping it over the frame.

  6. Better draw it up
Sectioning it will give it the illusion of being longer
