You're not the only one! I somehow missed yesterday's post, I've been checking everyday.
It's looking great, quality work takes time.

 

Body men need to do the best they can, like you say, it’s their reputation. Perfection takes time…lots of time & money. Imperfection is best, as a do it yourself paint job. If it turns out great, it’s the start of your reputation…if not so great, better luck next time with paint job #2! Oh, and paint job jail is under your complete control.

 

Got one of my 1927 South Dakota plates back from the sign painter. I did some body work on them sprayed the green color and tried to do the numbers But I can say I’m not a sign painter. Plates look good but it’s a terrible color that really clash’s with the Maroon color.

 

So we are using a 20s Chevy gas tank that is mounted in the trunk. It’s a good solid tank but had some dents in it so I decided I would make a cover for it and that way it would cover the dents and I can have a place to put our stuff on top of it. I took the cover along with the license plates to get some work done on them. Morgan the painter just sent me these pictures. Have to have a bit of humor with these things. So being this is a father son build the TNT stands for my Pops and my names. So I guess this is the TNT T roadster!

 

Big day!!!! The paint work on the body has taken longer than expected but there’s color on it today.

 

Everything looks really straight! All his and your efforts are definitely paying off.
I think you picked a great color, can't wait see it finished.

Cut and buff. Well I guess it’s just cut got some things back from the Powdercoater , battery box and the model T transmission band inspection plate that I transplanted on the transmission hump.

 

Dang! That trans cover looks great!

Kool! I’ll let ya know what going on. Going to take the frame to the painters and set it on there.

 

I know you don't want to cover up that beautiful trans cover.
I suggest a heat and sound barrier such as Lizardskin or similar product.
Your wait on the paint was definitely worth it!

 

The coating on the transmission cover is Raptor liner bed liner shot thru a paint gun to give it a finer texture. I’ll just have to live with what I have.

 

That is a great shade of red. Beautiful roadster and like others said, amazing attention to detail

Looks fantastic! After painting a few of my own cars and finding all the shit I missed buffing, polishing and waxing over the years I think if I was doing it for a client it would take me a life time to be happy with it leaving. There’s always another low spot or funny thing.

Well I was to busy to take very many pictures last night so thanks to my son Brooks for taking a few. Thanks to all my buddy’s that helped. I got a few pictures tonight in my messy shop. Let the assembly begin. Got the seat riser in and started getting the radiator shell fit.

Making a bit of progress. I have a mess of wire under the seat, radiator shell on, head lights on, dash in, wood tack strip is getting screwed on and a bunch of small stuff.
