I rolled out to nice little gathering of like minds hosted by Kustom Metal Werx in Ridgefield, WA last night after work. Aside from a good burger (which I had) and good looking dogs (which I didn't) there was the real reason I go to these things, look at the cars and talk to their owners and see some friends. I did all the above...other than the dog. There were HAMB friendly traditional hot rods, some sweet stuff from the late 60's and early 70's and some that just defied being defined. I'll drop some of the pictures over on the OT forum if you want to go take a peak. This one rolled in just as I was about to make my escape. I'm a sucker for Cragars. A sweet double nickel. I've seen this one around town and never get tired of it. This one belongs on our hot rod truck thread There was a crowd gathered 'round the rear of this one all night. Looked to be holding court. Nice seeing different hues for a change, rather than basic black or red. It looks happy. My buddy Kim's 31 and my ride for a perfect summer evening's drive. Hot rods in the grass. They don't get a lot hotter than these two. Squeaking in under the '65 wire, according to the placard 1 of 1480 300 rag tops in 1965 I am glad to see that even given it's rarity, it got the hot rod treatment. This old Ford had Air Conditioning, traditional style. Cool. Fun times. Make sure you guys get out and enjoy them. Summer is just getting started but it always seems to end way to too soon. Soak it in while you can. Thanks for stopping by
I miss those mid week gatherings at the local burger places. Originally from Yakima. There would be Weekly gathering on Wednesdays with a different location every week. Fridays there’s a gathering May through October on Friday evenings a local historic burger place. Of corse there the occasional meets at Miners.
They still do, with several folks you probably know well involved. They have a cars and coffee thing up in the shopping center parking lot at 37th and Tieton on Saturday mornings most of the year. Dang, Billy that is a fine bunch of rides you posted with several of them being familiar. That green A roadster with the flames is a regular at Vintiques every year.
