    I never cared much for the early Falcons, but I'd sure love to have this one in my collection of derelicts.

    To see if the tires hooked up off the line. Normally just black and white.

    I seem to recall the painting of wheels got started in the Super Stock classes in the early mid 60’s. The wheels were painted half one color and half another color and sometimes a simple rattle can stripe from the center of the wheel to the outside of the rim. It was used to see wheel spin off the line. If you looked at Ramchargers, Color Me Gone and other Super Stocks of the time it caught on pretty quickly. Don’t remember seeing the painted wheels on other classes until after the Super Stocks started doing it. Your mileage may vary!
