Comet looks great, I bet it's a fun one!

I was looking at those seats. Procar's site says they are only 18lbs each? Do you think that's accurate?

Nevermind, elsewhere on their site it says 42lbs.

  7. Thanks, fellas. I'm looking at prices to reupholster stock seats and pondering how "hardcore traditional" I truly am.

I'm sorry for asking and it's extremely rude of me but I have to know, was your X your X before or after she closed the tailgate? ;)

  9. That was accidental stupidity and was well before I divorced her. It was the intentional stupidity that came later is what got her the boot... LOL

  10. It looks good. It might look even better with the front end lowered a few inches.

    Hey a newby here!
I'm in the middle of replacing the cardboard style headliner on a 1964 Cyclone, do you still have the plastic bow moldings? Mine aren't very good!

They went with the guy who bought the car. That whole headliner deal was a cluster f. Good luck with yours and hit the search for some pretty decent Comet build threads and there is a 64,65 Comet drag car thread that is pretty cool too.

  14. If you're trying to correctly restore the headliner, you won't be able to. Besides the near-impossibility of finding a usable set of the plastic bows that haven't become hopelessly brittle with age, the cloth material used is different and not being reproduced. Sending you a PM...

My advice is to buy a regular headliner and make your own bows or snag some from a boneyard. Headliners are stupid, never doing another one.
