just picked up a 71 ford wagon, someone swaped the 429 out and put a 460 in. Its painted yellow, my grand kids call it a big yellow banana and they all like it (grandma hates it, maybe makes me like it more lol. we have been married 52 years and Im in titled to my opinion). Needs a little tinkering then its gonna be a grocery hauler and driver. you can put a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood in the back if you need to. soon as I figure out how to get some pictures I'll put some on here.
I vividly remember going with my family to City Chevrolet in 1968 when I was 5 , We came home with a cortez silver Impala wagon with a 325 hp 396. I beat the snot out of that car when I was 16....Wish I still had it.
Did a 68 chev model come with hidden head lights? What about the louvers on the front fender, behind the wheel opening?
lumpy 63 I got to admit your dad looked mighty spiffy in 1973, is the lady with him your sister? shes a cutie!!
your right instead of a sheet of plywood I need a mattress in the back, we had a wagon back when we were first married 52 years ago, and believe it or not some time we couldnt resist pullin over in a dark spot and hoppin in the back.
That's a lot of car to paint, for sure! The write up doesn't mention the modifications in the ''body'' section. So, the hidden headlights were Caprice items and the gills were SS427 parts. No pic, but the interior features buckets & console. Love it!
