Helping a someone find his old 51 Merc. Sold in in 1999. Went to Colorado and disappeared. The 52 Lincoln tail lights are easy to spot and help identify. Any leads greatly appreciated.
I saw Mick's (@straykatkustoms) post but couldn't come up with anything. If it's still in Colorado, I haven't seen it around. It's a great looking sled with a profile to die for--chop is dead on, and the Lincoln taillights are a sexy touch. Bob Hirohata would be proud! I'll keep my eyes open and if I come up with anything I'll let everyone know. Good luck on the search. I hope this one is still out there in someone's tender loving care. E
I like that Merc. I'll bump this. If you find it, I hope you'll come back and update this thread with new pictures.
I really appreciate all the help on trying to locate my old car, but after having no luck finding it, I just bought a 1950 Mercury out of Ohio. Had a ton of work done on it already. After the body shop that was getting it ready for paint went out of business, the owner brought it home and it's been sitting like this for 20 years. And for me, it's at the perfect stage for me to chop the top. By next year at this time, the Willys should be done and it'll be time to bring this one to my shop and start on the final car on my bucket list.
Let’s see, vehicle, check, build plan, check, engine ( 59AB would be ideal) , pending, color, pending, upholstery, pending, suspension, pending, rubber room in case it all goes wrong, check. Carry on.
