IMG_0796.jpg I did find a pedal pad for the throttle, when driving my Ranger PU, I looked at the parking brake pad, so one is on the way. Also, after I get the pad installed, I will form up a bolt on toe strap, to meet the rules.

Took some looking but I found a couple left over from my Kart racing days, thought you could use one but I wasn't fast enough Marty, I don't recall where I got them, it does have a different pattern with one rounded edge, yours is the better choice anyway for a foot feed.

The last guy on TV I remember calling it a foot feed, was Darrell Waltrip !

My number 1 complaint about many roadsters: if u do not plan on a top, why have that stupid tab that sticks up just behind door opening? Oh god, I mentioned something I do not like on a Strode build. So sorry, off to hide in closet. I did say “many roadsters”.

Tried to help friend design some other way to attach a top. He had that stupid tab also.

Mike, my hero Dean Lowe ran a top on his RPU, I will have to see if he retained that tab. Meanwhile, I will hold off having a HAMB dunce cap made specially for you.

Thanks Tim, I do see it. Jimmy Stevens retained his as well, so the Dunce cap is still an option. deanlowe1.jpg Jim Stevens Roadster.png

. . . the only time I could get my front wheels off the ground was during an oil change.

    (What kinda plane was it? Jet, bi-wing . . . ?

The tab is on my current RPU too. I think the tab is part of the brace for the door jamb. I have seen a car where the builder managed to get the tab off in one piece and have it chromed. Personally the tab dosen't bother me and painted is just fine.

    The pedal pad showed up today, so I curved a piece of 1/4" aluminum, and got it finished. IMG_0817.jpg IMG_0816.jpg IMG_0813.jpg IMG_0814.jpg IMG_0808.jpg IMG_0811.jpg IMG_0805.jpg IMG_0802.jpg IMG_0800.jpg

I finally got the seat belt mounts in today, used a piece of 1-3/8 4130 tube to span the width. Now I can put the seats back in so the cats will have a place to sleep at night. IMG_0901.jpg IMG_0900.jpg IMG_0902.jpg IMG_0904.jpg IMG_0906.jpg IMG_0908.jpg IMG_0907.jpg IMG_0903.jpg

And the lettering? We’re waiting Mr Strode and you know what a struggle of a commute it is from my place to yours.

I am back on this one for while. Since I decided to use the 2-1/16" injector on the Top Banana. I needed to set up the bell crank on the 1-13/16" unit, and get it connected to the throttle pedal. Now I can take it to Spud Miller (FIE) to get it checked out. This simple bracket turned into more of a job, because it needed to be built out of 3 pieces, to install it. Meanwhile the 331 Chevy is ready for assembly, and break in. My schedule is pretty clear of customer work, so I can focus on my own projects.
