I love it, But there’s more Green than I expected. The Chevy trim would start just in front of the bubble skirt at the rear wheel well and come up to the top of the front wheel well

I really like the way Rot n Kustom's Pshop came out. I think his take on having the '57 Chevy trim go all the way to the back is correct. Maybe just have the bubble skirts gold.
The green may be a shade or two too dark.

 

It is really great. I just wanted to try it down a little lower right in front of the skirt. My mark on the screen cap is not perfect. Should go closer to the skirt.

I thought so, too much green. I'll give it another go and try out this idea and a few more I have. May take a few days.

 

Yeah, you totally take as much time as you want. It’s in the ideas stage right now, no rush thanks.

I’m taking some inspiration from this coupe. It might be best just to have the bubble skirts, the green, a little lighter shade than what I showed. These big bubble skirts will look huge on a sectioned car, and the proportion of the two tone would probably look best just in this lower quarter area. Might not run any stainless trim on the side

Funny! I was going to suggest the Lee Pratt shoebox for balance of color and you beat me to it.
As for the skirts. In the old days, the bubble skirts could be cut from a VW Bug roof, split in half lengthwise and the compound curves cut however you liked. But the more I looked, the more I think the stock skirts work better in a sectioned taildragger. Anyway, here are two ideas. An update on the '57 Belair long trim, and and, well judge for yourself!

OK, I'm done. Just in case you have that extra '57 Belair top piece.

 

Thank you very much I like that upside down and backwards Chevy trim. I didn’t mention it, but I can’t have anything above the rear wheel wheel no matter what skirt I use. It’s hard to describe, but I plan larger oval tail light lenses. Do you know how a 51 Ford has that trim that exaggerates the “wings” on the quarter panel? I will exaggerate them more.

 

Can someone add this hood side to my car one in silver and one in the same green? I marked the rough placement with the red lines. The exhaust will be on the outside of the hood side. Sorry the hood side photo isn't perfectly square. I will have to shorten the height of the hood sides by 2" so I may take that off on the top to help make the louvers clear the exhaust cut out.

howdy, love all the work. im going to get this painted white. then i was thinking just the above the trim line or tail/trunk section and the roof white then the lower half a very lite grey or? or what do you think? thanks ahead of time
