Love me some Vintage Pro Stockers…..

Stored away in an enclosed trailer overgrown with a lot of " nature". The owner passed away and a local racer put the widow in contact with the builder. And Don Hardy race cars brought it home to where it was built.

 

Another Don Hardy built car. Had a short life as a pro stock.

 

RM57, do you know what is up with the extra bolts or what ever they are over the rockers in those valve covers?

 

Good question. They look like there right over the center of the exhaust rocker , which was trouble on these engines because of the length/weight. Maybe something to do with stabilizing them somehow? There also on the top where to intake rocker would be.

 

I'm a dyed in the wool Chevy guy, but Bob Glidden has to be the GREATEST of all time, Bar NONE!!!

 

The women on the right looks scared shitless.

 

Thanks RM, that is what I thought too. Must rest on the bolts, I can't see it pushing on the rockers moving around. I have had some heads where a few of those bolt holes were pulled out.
