I'm really enjoying the photos that you post for us.

I just have a comment on many of the roadsters you pictured. Many have a 1/4 circle of top opening leaning forward of the door opening. A popular custom style. I had one, too, years ago.

It went bye-bye one night going about 70 into an even mightier frontal SantaAna wind. I didn't even see it lift off-- the three of us just got a lot cooler. I guess the factory allowed for this with the notch to the back to drain off the wind.

No bad deal, never got around to replacing it in the more than 50+ years I had it.

Hey @Blues4U Thank you very much for all the great pics! You even got in a photo of my yellow '55 Chevy. That was the very first time I've ever had a car of my own at the roadster show. It was her maiden voyage and she seemed to enjoy herself on the almost 800 mile round trip from Northern CA to Pomona. Thanks again, Steve

I'm really sorry to dig up this old thread, but I just have to add some background information:

Despite the lettering, this car isn't a Kellison - It's an Astra X-300 GT, manufactured by Allied Fiberglass.

Around 1960 Jim Kellison entered a business partnership with another local California-based company, Fiberglass Products Inc., which supplied Kellison with bodies. The partnership ended in 1962 after disagreements between Jim Kellison and Allen Max Germaine of Fiberglass Products. Fiberglass Products subsequently changed their name to Allied Fiberglass and started manufacturing the Kellison-designed cars, bodies and kits under license, selling them by the name of "Astra".

The Astra X-300 GT was introduced in 1964 as a direct competitor to the new Kellison J-6 "Panther".
Though it was very obviously derived from the Kellison J-5 design, and utilized the same basic chassis, the Astra X-300 GT was never marketed or sold as a Kellison.

I'm so glad you did. Thanks for bringing up this great batch of photos, I enjoyed them the first time, second times a charm. Any info on Kellisons and Astras are greatly appreciated .That's quite a collection of Kellisons you have amassed, going by your profile. I would love to see more .I have a rough old J5.You don't happened to have a Plan Pack in your stash ?
