Jim1932… it appears that you and I have the same clutch and pressure plate. Using a 2x4 my measurement is 3/4”. I seemed to have a decent clutch pedal in my Model B but I’d probably want to make some adjustments. Unfortunately I only drove it a few miles before I had a transmission failure due to rebuilder error(me).
Anyone see something I don’t? I’ve only worked on GM 60s/70s manual transmission cars. These early Fords are completely new to me.

Rich built to race, i am not sure you would want to run it on the street. The push rods were mostly aligned. So my advice would get a head gasket and look at how everything lines up, some head bolts line up and some don't. Rich was a master tool room machinist with a two car garage that stretched 100' to the back of his lot. He had forged arias pistons I think and possibly billet rods, can't remember, the crank was the stock PB. Using a John Mummert head so it breaths better would be a new twist. Rich ran a home made aluminum head on the same engine with dual plugs that he made. When the motor finally gave out he sold it to someone who sold it or gave ot to speedy bill for the speedway museum.
