This will be a 3 speed O.D. floor shift project.
    Acquiring pieces.
    1) Trans Bought.

    2) Offset Shifter.

    3) Various shifter rods, arms.

  2. I run a BW R11 OD in my Model A and it works out great. I have the stock crossmember in the car still, which made the shifter stuff a tight fit. Just incase you want to know how I set it all up, I'm not using the switch under the gas pedal, I put a latching push button switch on the shifter knob. Also mounted the lock out cable on the shifter lower down. It all works good and makes the car nicer to drive as the RPMs are a lot lower. I don't use the lock out cable, at least so far but it's there if I need it.
Remember to use the parking brake when parking as this set up will allow the car to freewheel so the engine will not keep it from rolling away. putting it in reverse will keep it from rolling but you have to remember to put it in reverse.
Anyway, good luck with your project.

Yes interested, have most wiring on trans. It's a 67. I have been casually turning, shifting it on bench, very smooth, might have gotten lucky.

    Need to test solenoid.

I noticed it has a fill plug in the back section. Added gear lube back there, been turning it, sounded like something clicked free, and shifting gears.. very smooth so far.

Not sure, just been looking for one that is kicked out away from the O.D. unit.

    Shift knob is a winner....

I have the 3 prong plug, which would most likely have plugged into vehicle harness.

Do you use the Gov. Mechanism?

  7. If you want it to work right, you need the governor...

  8. You use the govornor if your going to use it as the factory intended.
I’ve seen those removed and the OD actuated with a switch

  9. Here’s a pic of one.
Mine is similar. You can see the adapter bracket that raise up the shifter to clear the OD parts

Just for some more information, I have a new in the box Fenton floor shift kit for a '49-'51 Ford w O/D. The shifter mechanism sits very high on this unit, requiring significant floor modifications for clearance. On these at least, the solenoid sits right where the shifter wants to live causing this problem. Hopefully, you won't have this problem.

  11. Yes I use the governor. Mine is wires up just like a stock system would be except I don't use the floor "kick down switch". I installed a push button switch on the shifter so when I want to "kick it down" out of overdrive, I just click the button. Other than that it works just as it should and shifts into overdrive automatically.

  12. Oh, and with the push button installed like I have it I don't use the ignition shorting out circuit. It drops out of overdrive with just a pat of the gas pedal.

Makes sense like you previously noted, on shifter...
