    ^^^^^^^^^^^^ The odd feature on this Bugatti are the later "Big" drum brakes on the front and the early small ones in the back.

    Those must be part of the last group of 3 wheelers made. There were 6, I think, made after the war to use up left over parts. They were all shipped to Australia.

    Great car. The guys in the UK, and Europe, have such great vintage car events. The money grubbing lawyers and insurance folks killed any chance of doing that here in the states.

    Fred, the Miller/Offy guys have been putting on a great low key event for years....even though the cars allowed are rather limited. They love all spectators. They use the track in Milwaukee when it's not being renovated. This year they were at Indy.

    Pretty sure that’s a BMW-based Nardi-Danese. Really neat either way.

    I had somewhere photos of Nardi-BMW, bur forgot on it and lost photos in many folders that I made trough a couple of decades...
    Beautiful torpedo racer in Italian style, with excellent construction of chassis and suspension!

    That Bantam body is way too wide for the Austin chassis.

    I think they were built on Austin 7 chassis'. My Ruby's frame rails end, more or less, under the middle of the front seats. The body is on outriggers. You can kind of see in this cutaway

    Under the skin, the biggest difference between 7's and Bantams (or American Austins) is the block is a mirror image so that the intake/exhaust is on our passenger side. That's pretty cool. I think there are some V8's out there made from one of each on a custom crankcase. Mike

    It looks interesting compared to some other failed projects put on sale.
    But, beside being quite non-Bantam, it is ugly (issue of taste and reams?) and planed to be installed to something else:

    Only worth there is Austin-7 chassis in good condition (but, with too wide tyres)? Good base to try some other project! Good price, too...
    I like Austin-7 specials, especially DIY projects, the same as a little more "modern" Topolino based...

    It is a late Austin Seven chassis, the wider wheels on the rear of the car are the 16" wheels fitted to most of the 'export' Longbridge built cars. That LHD steering box that is in one of the photos is interesting. Possibly from a Rosengart or BMW version of the A7 that were built under licence in France and Germany. AFAIK, all of the US built cars were 75" wheelbase; all the Longbridge built cars had 81" wheelbase from 1932 onwards

    I wonder if the plastic Bantam body was made wider for use on dragsters!!
    You could also get rid of the wire wheels and go with offset rims to get the tires out where they need to be. I just saw, on My Classic Car, a Fiat Topolino hot rod with a CSB 350 blown engine. Really nice build.

    What would it be like to drive in the rain in that car? Won't the water just come right up and over the windscreeen?
