  1. Nope.
    More like this one :)

but crap like this has asking prices about 1/2 the dual quad wagon with a 1/4 of the $$$$ put into it

  2. IMG_1105.jpeg I drive by this fire company daily on my way to work. I remember seeing that truck when it was still in service.

Just curious Anthony , Did you see a price on the dual quad engine?

  4. Yep. Some were really nice
Lots of street rods and pro touring style rides
Was mostly wanting the wife to figure out what she wanted.
So far she says no to full caps. Doesn’t like the 56 full caps with the black squares. I don’t either.
So we got that eliminated. (Progress)
She liked a set of lancer caps, and likes the dog dishes with the trim ring. My favorite is chrome OE style steelies. But it’s her ride.
There was a set of 56 AC vents there. We both didn’t like em. So that minor detail is solved.
She got to see a car with the accessory bumper guards. She liked em. The skirts isn’t an issue because I’ll probably paint a set anyway to have when I drive it.
I think we got the stance she wants figured out. Talked with the spindle and brakes folks and figured that out
The trip was basically so she could see several cars to figure out how she wants it. So when the chassis comes out from under it, I can take care of business and hopefully not have to back track any.
She hates buckets and likes a stock interior. Ours is a 210 but if she wants the Belaire interior, so be it.

  5. Nope. Guy was selling the car on the trailer when I walked by. He had a couple bat wing air cleaners and another dual quad set up.
The nice injected engine I posted was listed at 12k

Just curious at the price of unrestored vintage hi po stuff in todays LS everthing world.

  7. I was kinda surprised at the high number of non-LS powered cars there.

I didn't go because they let too many newer cars in...........anything post 49 is too new, so a tri-five show is out of the question.:(

    OK, just kiddin ^^^^^^^
My son's first car was/is a 57 Bel Air hardtop (one of my personal favorites) and its sitting in a shed behind my house waiting for him to redo it.
He was ogling several at the Nats and I mentioned that if he would finish his 56 Truck he could get his looking like some of the ones he was drooling over. Not sure if he went to the Tri-Five or not, he mentioned it at the Nats.
    Anyway, nice pics Anthony .........Thanks.:D

Get on the ball man, and we'll converge on BG next year at this event  thanks for the coverage brother :D

  13. Those bumper guards are pricey! I wish they weren't though, they look great on 56's

  14. I need to.
Spent this summer on a bathroom remodel for the wife.
But the 3.5 hour drive ain’t bad. I’d go back again even without a ride ready.

On a side note: my 57 Chevy step van qualifies as a tri-5.
    Hmmmmmmm

Yeah and you can bring your ass up for the reunion!!! That's a really good time. If I hadn't sold my truck, I could've taken it, the title was 55. I'm already planning to take my new project to the reunion and the tri five next year. So did you find any of the parts you needed?

  16. Yes and no
The guy with the skirts had an issue. But I found another set. Wife finally got to see the skirts on a car in person. She’s on the fence. That’s ok cause I’ll paint a set for when I drive it. Didn’t find the door stainless. Front door belt line for a wagon.
Still looking for a sedan front seat.
Might have one located here local.
The main reason for going was for her to see a lot of wagons and figure out what she want for her car. We got closer. She definitely figured out things she didn’t like.
    And that helps a lot

  17. Great coverage, thanks!
I could really get into having a wagon, but that would require getting rid of something.

  18. What condition seat are you looking for?

  19. For a seat? Good enough to recover. Current frame has rot issues

  20. Front bench? If so, I will check the condition of the one I have

I have a bench from a late 60's impala that I'm gonna use. I have a set of buckets that I was unsure of, I sat one in the car, and it made me sick at my stomach lmao! Are you going original pattern on your seats?

  22. Yes.
For a 4 door. I guess with the money the 2 door seats bring the parts guys don’t care to bring a 4 door bench

  23. Converting my 4dr to a 2 dr and found a 2dr seat for a song. I don't know how far away you are from me, but I'll dig it out and check it out. Will likely be rusty, but not rotten. Will update you later

  24. I do believe she wants the belair interior.

Did you explain that stock is boring, and diamonds are a girl's best friend? :D I'm gonna go black diamond pleat, but I'm gonna use the same color thread as what I paint the car. Haven't made my mind up on color yet. Just bring the seats with you to Lloydfest

  26. Working on that
A nice tuck and roll in stock colors would work.

  28. As far as stock interiors go, the 56 bel air is pretty dang nice.

  29. BTW, isn't the 210 wagon beltline stainless the same as sedan?

  30. Was told no by a vendor
I’m gonna try to confirm that
