Can anyone tell me what the distance is from the column mount (under the dash) to the back of the steering wheel on a 1937 chevy coupe. I'm not using a stock one and need to make adjustments. An early ford or Plymouth coupe from that time Era would work. Just need to have some idea of proper distance.

    Thanks

Well, I like to sit in the car, put the seat where the pedals feel good, then pick the steering wheel position. I'm sure others have their own preferred methods.

This is where you sit in the car and make engine noises lol. Put the steering wheel and seat were it fits you.

when I was changing the steering column in my 38 Chevy I'd forgotten to measure the original dimensions so I found a 1940 or so car and measured it. I used that as a guide, but as others have said, sit in the car and then determine where you will be the most comfortable. IMG_0377.JPG IMG_0376.JPG
