    Hello,

I, too think it needs to be left alone. The above fast change is not the best looking with green artillery wheels or any wheels I put on those tires on my drawing board. From 5 spoke American mags to Halibrand mags, even a set of Buick Skylark Wire Wheels looked better than those artillery wheels. One last choice was to put on some Model A wire wheels, but they just did not do anything to make it nicer.

I’m diligently working to make my car look similar to this one, and can’t decide between black artillery wheels or true red. Can someone please change the wheels to red? IMG_9136.png

IMG_2154.jpeg IMG_2153.jpeg Wow I’ve been stalking this thread for years and finally gonna post.

Is anyone interested to help with ideas for my 59 Rancho.

Colorwise I really like emerald green which is the color of the roof and the dash/ interior parts. (the hood is currently in dark green primer). I also envision some black outlining and highlighting the belt trim. The car looked great with chrome reversed wheels and www tires but those are long gone. Spoke wheels might be in my future. Have at it boys! IMG_2153.jpeg

Here it is in green, without striping.

I can shift the color if you like.

Maybe someone else would like to take a shot at some stripes?

Here is the green I’m going with. I probably should have added this in the first post

I have always liked the DeSoto bumper on 57,58.59 Fords. First one I saw was on a blue 57 Ford Fair lane in 1958.

Nailed it! How did you add the eyebrow trim? It’s still sitting on the shelf lol

My body guy is making progress on my Ranch Wagon so I need some ideas about paint. Could someone two tone my wagon like the example but cream instead of the white shown? And maybe show the wheels both in cream and red with black walls. Red and cream samples attached. Thanks in advance. hubcaps.png future.png 1244-premier-red-new-3.png ffde88.png.png

I love those DeSoto bumpers -- but -- sometimes they appear an inch or two too wide for their adoptive mother. Can someone give them a vasectomy? (you know, just a snip here or there.)

I’ve got one even better! Wondering how it would look if the hood trim was removed and the bumper lifted into the higher position. You guys are amazing btw

Exactly what I was thinking. When the time comes I might go with a slightly lighter shade of cream but for now this is perfect. Been over a year for rust repair and body prep so this really helps me see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks!!

Here is a '54 Ranch Wagon I did recently. The cream areas are woodgrained. The wheel covers are '56 Ford.
