  1. According to an Instagram post by David Freiburger we have lost hot rod pioneer, World War II vet and founder of the So-Cal Speed Shop Alex Xydias.

    Sorry to hear…..his beginnings brought a teenager’s direction to hot rods and going fast. Watching his films showed what was happening in film instead of words..

    We met him years ago at the Grand National and he was the most kind and gracious person you could ever imagine.
