@hotrodA Messin' with the mail, that's a federal offense!
I had ONE issue that didn't have that printed on the envelope. Guess what they did?

My " The coffee table car magazine" as my wife calls Rodders journal Showed up a couple of days ago when I had a lot going on and I didn't open it until Monday night. They are the only car magazines I have ever got that she goes page by page through when she sees a new one come in.

Out here on the Rez I am one of the last ones to get mine when they come out so most folks should have theirs by now. IMG_3647.JPG

    just got delivered.

it seems to me that there are a lot of HAMBers who need to chow down on some crow over their attitude and comments about Steve and The Rodders Journal.

  5. You've got some Large Stelling Breathers that you listed for sale in the Classifieds in March. You've since marked them Sold.

I assume you were paid. But did you ship them when you said you would? I assume you did.

As I've said earlier in this thread, the most recent email from TRJ was April 16th. First paragraph quote: "All subscriber copies will be in the mail over the week or so."
It's June 21st today and continental US subscriber copies are just rolling in... over 60 days later. Yet to see an International Subscriber confirm they received a copy.

I want TRJ to survive. I love the magazine and have a complete set back to issue 1. But more than that, I want honest communication from TRJ.
If Steve said '86 is printed, 87 is going to the printers soon. I'm going to mail 86 and 87 together to save costs, but that won't be till September', I'd be fine with that. But don't tell us they're being mailed out if they're not being mailed out.
Simple communication would have made a massive impact on the response on many customers.

In Steve’s defense once he sends out those magazines USPS Bulk Mail we are at the mercy of the postal system. Bulk is not like First Class, it might sit at a distribution center for a while, in other words “When we get to those we get to ‘em.” But still, I won’t be a cheerleader for him, there are many reasons he could do better. OK, so his website is defunct, he has a Facebook account but I don’t do FB. Is he active on FB, or is it crickets there too?
I have a full set of TRJ and purchased a number of his hard cover books too. I didn’t subscribe until about a year after he started publication and I’m still a subscriber. Or at least I think I am, I’m not sure if I have a No. 86 coming or not. @rusty1 is in Illinois not far from me and he got his, so is mine on the way or did my sub run out? The lack of communication is frustrating, would it be too much to ask that he drop a line on the HAMB once in a while? Or how about a quick answer to an email like Yep, your sub is current through No. xx.
Or maybe I just expect too much.

Still waiting for #86 (lifetime subscriber) along with another buddy in South Dakota. Just curious if anyone has still not received theirs? Thanks!

No international subscribers have received a copy yet so you are not alone.

  12. I received an email from TRJ Customer Service yesterday related to international subscribers...

"#86 is taking long to get out internationally, however you shall be receiving soon!"

Thanks for the update. It's just such a shame that rodders journal haven't sent an email blast to all international subscribers. I am sure it would have saved them and subscribers a lot of angst.

Since KMS Tools and The Old Car Centre have always been listed as sellers, I was hoping to pick up a copy when I went to a family reunion out that way. The Old Car Centre didn't have any nor KMS. I had stopped subscribing years ago when it was cheaper to just pick up a copy at SaveOn foods. No point in resubscribing since there are too many unknowns. Now that I have gotten used to life without all the other magazines too, the cost of ordering a single copy and paying current postage fees I don't know what to do.

I subscribe to several club magazines (I am into different cars). And the magazines all get sent via USPS. They all arrive and arrive when they are supposed to arrive. Why does Rodders "have a problem" with the Post Office???!!! Could it be that they are the problem?

I also get several magazines on various topics, also in a timely manner. However, TRJ is the only one that arrives inan oversized fiberboard envelope. Could this be part of the problem? I don't know.
