Did you ever notice how fast you would get at R and R of the transmission? Summer of 77 I had a Fairlane with a four speed and I got really good at dropping and installing with no floor jack.

You have to admit it would be cool at a car show, push a button and the engine, interior and trunk are all exposed.

He has the spider gears all welded up and she is packed with grease. Got himself a posi, the axle "C" clips won't fall off again, and it won't leak gear oil ever again. Throw the cover on it and he won't ever have to worry about working on it again. She is fixed up for good!

 

I still remember peeling and passing bananas to my brother while he was under a Valiant, he would stuff them through the fill hole to quieten down the howl. That was when we were teenagers and had no radio to turn up and drown out noises!

Merthiolate packed a pretty good punch as well, if I remember correctly.

 

Neat Dettol did too. Nothing wrong with an antibacterial liquid that was also promoted as a floor cleaner.
