Technical Bending drip rail

    Great work and very useful tip. Taking some of the learning curve out of these common issues that are encountered in a build reduce cost and build time significantly. Love it

    Thank you. I like to see somebody else do it before I start experimenting. LOL

    A guy on one of the hot rod TV shows bent a piece of stainless trim 90° the hard way with a torch and his muscles. He said it might tear the far side, but it didn't.

    Another alternative sans heat would be to bend it in a diAcro or similar bender. I used an old tractor gear as an inner shoe to bend around, when I made a mounting flange for a champ car dash.

    Could a guy use the new epoxy glues that they use to install body panels to glue these onto the body ?

    Seems it would be easier to glue it on and getting it to make a water tight seal at the same time.

    I've thought about this as I don't want to run a cloth top....

    I'm not familiar with the new epoxy glues. Really can't give you a good answer. Maybe other people will have a better answer for you.
